The Campus Trust

Student associations have always known and understood the benefits of working together. We lobby governments collectively, we share information and operating techniques, and we seek, continuously, for better ways to serve our members. Until now, however we have not found a way to combine the administration of our benefit plans. That has come through the formation and operations of The Campus Trust. Because of the efforts of the Acadia Students' Union Inc., and the University Students' Council of the University of Western Ontario a formal trust was created to:

• construct a formal environment in which student associations can own and shape, to their specifications, every aspect of the benefit plans they sponsor, and of the support and delivery systems;
• bring together, in co-operative management, as many student associations as possible.
• protect the plan sponsors (student executives and association employees) from the dangers of the undefined, deemed trusts in which they now function;
• expand the services available to the plan sponsors;
• buy more benefits for less
